Bergamot and pink pepper hit first — sharp, warm, the unmistakable signal that someone just walked in and the whole room shifted. Citrus underneath because there's always someone who shows up with something cold and fizzy and zero explanation. Sage and coriander threading through because one person in this group always smells like they just got back from somewhere interesting and never fully explains where.

Rose and jasmine in the heart — quiet and girly until they're not, which is the most accurate description of at least two people at this table. Patchouli and moss underneath like the ones who seem intimidating until the second round arrives and suddenly everyone is crying laughing on the floor.

Labdanum and ambroxan in the base. Warm, resinous, completely unbothered. The scent of a group that was too much for every other group and somehow found each other anyway.
